Bangkok, the vibrant capital of Thailand, is a mesmerizing city filled with an array of photogenic wonders. From ancient temples to bustling markets and modern skyscrapers, Bangkok offers countless opportunities to capture stunning photographs. We will help you choose a place and a plan tailored to your needs. Below we present a map so that you can find out in which area we usually operate and what places we recommend.

Notes

• The best time starts after 4PM when the sun is no longer harsh. Golden hour starts at 5PM and sunset is around 5:40PM (depending on the time of year).

• We don’t take photos at Wat Arun on weekends, it’s usually too crowded. The other temples are fine.

• If the place where you want to meet is an hour or more by car from the temple area, we will charge an additional fee for transport and travel time. This includes places like: Damnoen Saduak floating market and train market, Safari World, Safari Park Kanchanaburi, Chocolate Ville, Ayutthaya (not to be confused with the Ancient City) and other provinces and islands.

• All the fees are at your expense.

• Sessions on the rooftop – we recommend doing them at sunset and right after it. After dark, photos will have more noise and will be less sharp, flash light is not allowed.

• Hotel session – Make sure camera usage is allowed.

• Places where we don’t operate: Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Pattaya city.

• Our regular sessions do not last longer than 4 hours, we prefer to divide longer orders into several days. If you want to split the trip over several days or do a full day e.g. in Chiang Mai, please send us a message with your budget and we can negotiate.

Session in one location for an hour or less

• 30 minutes session – must take place more or less within the old city, from Wat Arun to Siam Center. If it’s further away, an hourly reservation is required.

• One-hour sessions can be carried out practically anywhere, except for more distant and large locations: The Ancient City, Ayutthaya, floating market and zoo.

• The most recommended locations can be found in the “Top Locations” tab.

• If you want to meet in the temple, the woman must cover her arms, belly and legs (and do not uncover inside the temple while taking photos, kissing is also forbidden).

Temple and sunset

Sunset in Bangkok starts around 5:50PM so we’ll meet at Wat Arun at 5PM. For the first half an hour we will visit the best spots and then we will take a shuttle boat to cross the river quickly (I will pay for the boat, we can take some photos on it if it is not crowded). After walking 5 minutes you will be in front of the temple, the place is called “The Deck by Arun”. There are 3 spots, the first one right on the river (inaccessible due to renovation), higher up by the railings and on the rooftop bar (drinks must be ordered).

Enchanting byways and sunset

As with the foreground, we will start at 5pm by meeting at the “Blacksmith Cafe” in Talat Noi, where we will spend about 40 minutes in decorated Chinese and retro style streets. We will take a tuk-tuk which after 10 minuts we will reach a place by the river.

family time

Saranrom is a small charming park that is great for natural and candid photos. There is a bridge, a river and a tunnel with flowers, we used to do sessions there for up to 40 minutes and then walk 2 minutes to the temple or take a tuk-tuk to the river or to the flower market. Wat Ratchabophit is a unique and quiet temple with a nice garden and a beautiful view inside.

Retro and modern Bangkok

We will meet at the old railway station where we will pose on wooden benches, tracks and old Thai wagons. By tuk-tuk or taxi we will get to the tallest building in the city, Mahanakhon Tower, near which there is also a BTS skytrain. We will take shots with a wide-angle lens and slow exposure with speeding trains.

Picturesque horizons seeker

In Bangkok there is a lesser known temple with an aesthetic and symmetrical interior – Loha Prasat, Wat Ratchanadaram. Nearby there is a nice park with tuk-tuks, and in the temple there is an observation tower from which you can see “The Golden Mount, Wat Saket” known for its nice pictures, which we can reach in a few minutes on foot. Both places are cute and have nice views from the top, be prepared to climb a lot of stairs.

Candid retro roadtrip

We’ll start with Chinatown, bustling streets and one of the largest street food spots in the world. We will pose with tuk-tuks, old Chinese signs, streets and stalls with vegetables and food. We will catch one of the tuk-tuks and go to the flower market where we will buy a bouquet of flowers to take a few shots on the street, then we will walk for a few minutes to the old bridge with a view of the sunset.

Zen Wanderlust: Asian Temple Immersion

Embark on an amazing journey to discover Bangkok’s hidden gems. Experience the peaceful and magical atmosphere of a Chinese shrine, where the air is filled with the scent of incense and beautiful sculptures adorn the surroundings. Then, venture off the usual tourist trail to a lesser-known Thai temple nestled in nature. Immerse yourself in the serenity as you observe the locals’ devotion and admire the temple’s stunning architecture. The tour lasts an hour but can be extended to 1.5 hours by visiting more spots.

The place where we’ll start is a picturesque oasis for young people to gather and capture stunning photos for their social media feeds. With its vibrant ambiance, lush greenery, and charming garden chairs under colorful umbrellas, it provides the perfect backdrop for Instagram-worthy shots. From the delightful beverages and delectable desserts to the enchanting nooks and vibrant walls adorned with murals, “Holiday Pastry” offers a visually captivating experience that guarantees a feed full of eye-catching images. Right after that we will take a taxi to a lovely park to get more nature photos.

Chill Mode Captures

Our favorite rooftop bar is “Yao”, located on the 32nd floor of the Marriott Surawongse Hotel. It’s not only offers a visually stunning setting for photography but also provides a delightful experience for those seeking a calm atmosphere. With its elegant ambiance and relaxed vibe, it provides a serene environment where you can unwind and enjoy your drinks in peace. Unlike some other rooftop bars, Yao tends to be less crowded, allowing for a more intimate and enjoyable experience while you capture beautiful photos and savor your favorite beverages. Right after that, we’ll go to a neon light shoot in Chinatown. Stepping into the neon-drenched streets of Bangkok’s Chinatown is like entering your own real-life version of Blade Runner. The vibrant lights create a futuristic ambiance that instantly transports you into a cyberpunk world, where every corner is a photo opportunity that oozes style and sophistication. Immersed in the mesmerizing glow of the neon signs, you’ll feel like a protagonist from a sci-fi film, capturing the essence of the cityscape with a touch of otherworldly coolness.

City Legend

The photoshoot will take place in The Mahanakhon Tower area which provides an inspiring setting for street photography, as wide-angle lenses capture the interplay between modern architecture, bustling streets, and the vibrant energy of the city, allowing for stunning compositions that encapsulate the essence of Bangkok’s urban spirit in a single frame. Afterwards, we’ll head to BTS Chong Nonsi station to capture vibrant shots of the BTS trains in action. We finish our journey in the renowned Lebua Skytower at Breeze restaurant, where you can revel in the luxurious surroundings, strike a pose next to its Instagrammable spots, and capture awe-inspiring photos that encapsulate the enchanting ambiance of this iconic dining destination.

A great place for new photos on social media is place called Talat Noi Art Streets, a vibrant neighborhood renowned for its colorful street art. The area offers a plethora of visually striking backdrops and fascinating subjects, making it a perfect spot for capturing captivating photos. From intricate murals to graffiti and unique installations, the streets of Talat Noi provide endless opportunities for creative shots, allowing you to document the vibrant spirit of Bangkok’s urban art scene. After spending about 40 minutes, we will take a tuk-tuk to Chinatown and wait a while until it gets dark enough to take neon street photos. You’ll immerse yourself in a cyberpunk-inspired world with its dazzling neon lights, making it a perfect setting to capture stylish and futuristic photographs.

Utilize the stunning riverside backdrop, elegant interiors, and unique architectural features for visually appealing shots. The Ancient City expediton

The Ancient City, located in Samut Prakan, is a haven for capturing beautiful and memorable photos for your travel album. Our next destination is the esteemed Mustang Blu boutique hotel. Situated in the heart of Bangkok, this renowned establishment will offer a captivating setting for our vintage-inspired adventure. With its distinctive architecture and captivating atmosphere, Mustang Blu is sure to enhance our photo shoot, allowing us to capture stunning images that reflect the charm and character of this hidden gem.Our photo trip will conclude with a visit to the vibrant Talat Noi art streets. Located in Bangkok, these streets are a haven for art enthusiasts, with colorful murals and street art adorning every corner. The unique and lively atmosphere of Talat Noi will provide the perfect backdrop for our final moments of creativity and inspiration.

Temple Treasures: Sunset Odyssey

As we embark on our exploration of Wat Arun, our attention will be immediately captured by the towering spires adorned with intricate porcelain tiles, showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship of Thai architecture. Exploring the temple grounds, we will uncover enchanting viewpoints, offering the perfect opportunity to capture the beauty of Wat Arun in our photographs. To conveniently reach Wat Pho, we will board a shuttle boat, swiftly crossing the river in Bangkok. As we arrive at this mesmerizing temple complex in Bangkok, let’s discover the perfect spots to strike a pose and capture memorable photographs. From the magnificent Reclining Buddha, an impressive 46-meter statue, to the ornately decorated Chedis and serene courtyards, each area of this temple presents a wonderful backdrop for our photography. Let’s fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the traditional Thai architecture and seize moments of tranquility and awe within the sacred grounds of Wat Pho. If you decide to start your photo session after 4 pm there is a possibility to take photos at sunset over the river. The place is a 2-minute walk from Wat Pho.

Day and night

Wat Benchamabophit, also known as the Marble Temple, is a revered Buddhist temple located in Bangkok, Thailand, that offers a remarkable setting for families and photography enthusiasts alike. The serene gardens and well-maintained courtyards surrounding the temple create a peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for couples and families to explore and capture beautiful moments together. Our second part of the session will be at 7 PM, we will meet again in Chinatown where you’ll immerse yourself in a cyberpunk-inspired world with its dazzling neon lights, making it a perfect setting to capture stylish and futuristic photographs.

Temple Trilogy: Bangkok’s Instagram Gems

We will begin our Instagram tour at Wat Benchamabophit temple, a remarkable Buddhist temple known as the Marble Temple. It combines traditional Thai architectural elements with elegant design. After that, we will hop on a tuk-tuk and head to Loha Prasat temple, a magnificent architectural wonder. This temple, also referred to as the Metal Castle, showcases impressive symmetrical elements and visually pleasing spots. Then we will take a taxi (about 20 minutes) to The Ancient City, an extraordinary open-air museum located near Bangkok. This sprawling complex offers a remarkable journey through Thailand’s rich cultural heritage, showcasing replicas of iconic temples, traditional houses, and significant landmarks from different regions of the country. Exploring The Ancient City provides an immersive experience that allows visitors to appreciate the diverse architecture, art, and traditions that have shaped Thailand’s history.

During our three-hour adventure, we will capture stunning photos in the best spots of Ayutthaya’s temples. These temples stand as remarkable symbols of the city’s rich cultural heritage and architectural grandeur. From the iconic Wat Mahathat to the majestic Wat Phra Si Sanphet, each temple holds a unique allure that will make for unforgettable photographs. Get ready to immerse yourself in the historical splendor of Ayutthaya and capture the essence of this enchanting destination through your camera lens.
Notes: You can hire a half-day driver to take you from Bangkok to Ayutthaya and back and between the temples (2500-3200 THB / 70-90 USD).

Next on our itinerary is the hidden gem, Wat Suthat temple. With its intricate architecture and serene ambiance, this temple offers a wonderful opportunity to capture its beauty and tranquility in their shots. After that, we’ll drive to Talat Noi art streets, where you can immerse yourself in a world of vibrant colors, stunning street art, and the chance to strike a pose next to retro vehicles. Our next stop is the Thai retro train station, a nostalgic destination where you can capture vintage snaps against the backdrop of old-fashioned trains, adding a touch of timeless charm to your photography collection. We’ll drive to the Mahanakhon Tower area, where wide-angle lenses beautifully capture the seamless integration of modern architecture, lively streetscapes, and the atmosphere, presenting a unique visual narrative that encapsulates the essence of the city’s dynamic urban landscape. Then we’ll go to Yao Rooftop Bar in Bangkok, where you can enjoy a tranquil atmosphere, savor delicious drinks, and capture stunning photos without the usual hustle and bustle found in other rooftop bars. We’ll finish our session in Chinatown streets at night, where the cyberpunk atmosphere created by the vibrant neon lights will add a touch of futuristic flair to our photographs, making them truly stylish.
