A big site, one focused afternoon
Ancient City is not a temple stop you can walk through in 30 minutes. It is a 320-hectare park with structures spread across the grounds, and most visitors spend hours hunting for the spots that actually photograph well.
As your Ancient City photographer, we cut that out. We have shot 70+ sessions at Muang Boran and we know which buildings work best from which angle, which light each spot needs, and how to move between them without losing time. You get a varied set of images and an easier afternoon.
The shoot pairs well with Thai costume looks, so if you want a traditional dress as part of the session, browse the Thai costume rental options before you book.
Ancient City photoshoot pricing
Three tiers depending on how much of the park you want to cover, how many photos you want, and how relaxed the pace should be. Every session ends at sunset, so we work the start time backwards from sunset based on your package.

- Option to add the nearby Erawan Museum
- 4 hours on site

- Multiple outfits, relaxed pacing
All packages include full editing and delivery within 24 hours. High-resolution files for print and social. Park entry, transport and any costume rental are not included. Full pricing details on the prices page.
One photographer per session
Every booking is private. One photographer comes to the shoot and stays with you the whole time, so you get a consistent style across all the images.
Buggy at the park
The park is large, so we move between spots in a buggy. Renting one requires a driver's licence or passport / ID at the rental counter. Your Ancient City photographer drives, so you do not need to bring an international permit.

Three ways to reach the park
Ancient City sits in Samut Prakan, about 30 km southeast of central Bangkok. Pick whichever option fits your group and budget. We meet you at the entrance.
By Grab or taxi
The simplest option. Around 350 to 450 THB from central Bangkok via Grab. Journey takes 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic.
By BTS plus songthaew
Cheapest. BTS Sukhumvit Line to Kheha (final stop), then songthaew number 36 to Muang Boran. About 100 THB total round trip.
By private car or driver
Best for families or larger groups. You can hire a driver for the day and bring them into the park (they need their own ticket). AC between stops, easy outfit changes.
Before your Ancient City photoshoot
Why is the minimum session 2 hours?
The park is large and far from the city. A 1-hour shoot barely scratches the surface given the travel time. The 2-hour session is the smallest package that gives you a varied set of images from this location.
Is there a dress code?
It is not strictly enforced, but for the temple structures we recommend covering shoulders, belly and knees. Men should avoid tank tops. A traditional Thai costume works very well across this site.
When is the best time of year to shoot here?
November to February is the most comfortable, dry and around 25 to 30°C. March to May is hot, often above 35°C, so the late-afternoon window matters more. June to October is rainy season, showers usually pass quickly but it is less reliable.
Can we add the Erawan Museum?
Yes. The Erawan Museum is about 6 km from Ancient City and pairs naturally with the longer packages. It adds different architecture (the giant three-headed elephant building) for variety in the same session.
Can we kiss in the photos?
Most spots in the park are fine for close, romantic poses. Inside the active temple structures we keep it more reserved. We will direct you on the day so it stays appropriate.
Is the entry fee included in the package?
No. Park entry is paid by you, currently 700 THB at the gate or around 380 THB if you book through Klook in advance. Same for any Thai costume rental on site.
