Original Bangkok, not built for tourists
Pak Khlong Talat is the place to shoot real local Bangkok. Thais working with flowers, vendors selling fruit and vegetables, pork and chicken hawkers, tuk-tuks weaving through the lanes, riverside cafes.
If you want something authentic and not built for tourists, this is the spot. We also use it for 7-Eleven-style lifestyle photos that show daily Bangkok as it actually is.
Two major temples are within a five-minute walk: the river view overlooking Wat Arun, and Wat Pho. Sometimes we also shoot on the bridge nearby, which is popular with locals at sunset.
What we shoot here
A real working market gives a different texture than studio or rooftop sessions.
Authentic Bangkok lifestyle
Vendors at work, tuk-tuks moving past, locals going about their day in the background.
7-Eleven / convenience store style
The aesthetic Western audiences associate with Thai street life: neon signs, plastic chairs, market noise.
Couples & portraits among flowers
Marigolds, roses, orchids in stacked piles. Strong colour fields without anything staged.
Sunset on the bridge
The bridge nearby is a local favourite at golden hour. Different crowd than the tourist viewpoints.
Easy to combine
Three strong locations sit within a few minutes of the market. We can route a session through several without rushing.
Combine the market with nearby spots
Most clients combine the market with the river view near Wat Arun, Wat Pho, or the bridge. Sanook (2h) or Sawasdee Deluxe (4h) are the usual fit.
