Why Book Us

We Live and Shoot Here Every Week

We've spent years working out which alley in Chinatown frames neon signs cleanly, where afternoon light hits old wooden shutters, and which canal routes are worth the longtail boat ride. That kind of thing only comes from being local.

Fully private sessions
No other clients, no strangers in your frames. Longer sessions include private transport so you don't waste your day stuck in traffic.
Where to stay in Bangkok
Stay central. The old town around Rattanakosin Island puts you close to the temples and markets. Skip expat zones like Nana, Thong Lo, Ekkamai, or Huai Khwang. Bangkok traffic can eat two hours of your day from those areas.
Getting around
Cheapest: Bolt. Most fun: tuktuks (100 to 400 baht). Fastest: motorbike taxis. If you take a motorbike taxi, confirm your travel insurance covers you.

Bangkok Location Guide

Where to shoot.
What to skip.

An honest list of the spots we use most often. We'd rather tell you what's actually worth your time than send you to the standard tourist circuit. Full city guide here →

01
Wat Pho and Loha Prasat are our two go-to temples for a Bangkok travel photoshoot. Both have the architecture you came for, neither has the queue. Skip Wat Arun and the Grand Palace. Both are overcrowded, slow to shoot in, and produce frames full of other people. For something larger and more cinematic, we send clients to The Ancient City instead. It recreates Thai architectural heritage at one third scale across 200 acres, with space to breathe and almost no crowds.
02
Pak Khlong Talat (the flower market) operates 24 hours. Wholesalers sort jasmine, orchids, and roses by the thousands, and the colors and textures make for natural compositions. We schedule market stops in the late afternoon or evening, when the light softens and the working hours are at their busiest.
03
Cafes that double as photo studios
Bubble in the Forest Cafe wraps you in tropical plants. After the Rain Coffee and Gallery rotates art exhibitions in minimalist interiors. The Bunny's Hut Cafe brings pastel colors and rabbit themes for softer, lifestyle-style frames. Useful as outfit-change stops between bigger locations.
04
A garden restaurant where tree roots grow through the floor. Easily our pick for couple sessions that need a quieter, indoor backdrop with character.
05
Chinatown after dark
Lhong Tou Cafe on Yaowarat occupies a restored Chinese mansion where red lanterns cast warm shadows across antique furniture. Pair it with a walk down Yaowarat Road once the neon signs flicker on for a strong night-time leg of the session.
06
Perspective from the water
A canal cruise through Thonburi puts you in residential waterways where houses on stilts lean over the water. Most of this leg of the photo walk happens from the boat itself, so plan for a shorter setup window when you arrive at the pier.
07
Song Wat Road is one of our favourite mid-session stops. Renovated 1920s shophouses now host galleries and cocktail bars, and the architecture photographs better at golden hour. Pro tip: grab a pair of elephant pants from any market for the day. They're comfortable for long sessions and add visible Thai character to your trip photos.

Bangkok Add-On

Add a Thai costume session

A traditional Thai costume photoshoot is one of our most-booked add-ons for travellers. The rental shop dresses you, does hair and makeup, and your travel photographer takes it from there.

Costumes run 200 to 500 THB. Hair and makeup runs around 1,300 THB. Children's sizes are available.

See costume page →
  • Best for: heritage photos, gift-worthy prints, and genuinely different frames from your trip
  • Where: rental shops sit right next to Wat Pho
  • Time needed: add about 1 hour for dressing and makeup before the session
  • Open to: women, men, children, and groups

Tell us your dates. We'll plan the route.

In Their Own Words

What clients say about their photoshoot

★★★★★

Lukfoto showed us Bangkok beyond the tourist spots. We walked through narrow alleys in Chinatown and ended on a hidden rooftop at sunset. The photos caught moments we didn't even notice happening at the time.

★★★★★

I travel solo a lot but wanted real photos for once. The photographer knew exactly which temple walls work in afternoon light and which cafes shoot well. No awkward posing, just natural shots of me actually doing the trip. Already planning the next one.

★★★★★

My wife and I were in Bangkok for our anniversary. The photographer took us to spots we'd never have found alone, including a garden restaurant where tree roots grow through the floor. The photos feel cinematic but real. We've printed several already.

FAQ

Common Questions

What time of day do you shoot?

Sessions run from the afternoon onwards. The light is softer, the temples are quieter, and the markets hit their busiest hours. Late afternoon to sunset is the best window for almost every location we use.

How fast do I get the photos?

Edited images arrive within 24 to 72 hours via Google Drive. RAW files are available on request at no extra cost.

What if it rains on the day of the shoot?

We reschedule. Bangkok rain usually clears within an hour or two, so we often just shift the start time. For sessions outside the city, a heavy weather day means a full reschedule with no penalty.

Can you combine multiple cities into one trip?

Yes. We plan multi-city itineraries with one route, one photographer, and one delivered gallery. Useful if you're doing Bangkok plus the islands or Bangkok plus the north.

Do you bring hair and makeup?

It's an add-on, not included by default. Tell us at booking if you want it and we'll quote for the artist's time and travel.
