What a Chiang Mai Photoshoot
Looks Like

We travel to you. That means we book our own flights and hotel, which is already included in the price. You don't handle any logistics on our end.

Sessions start with a route plan based on your preferences. We discuss which spots to visit, how much time to spend at each, and what mood or style you're going for. Then we shoot. No rushing, no shared session, and no one else's timeline to follow.

We recommend renting a private SUV or van for the day. The strongest locations are spread out, and public transport doesn't reach all of them. Your hotel can usually arrange it.

Packages & Pricing

Every package price includes our flights and hotel, so there are no separate travel charges on our end. Sessions start from 34,000 THB.

4 Hours
Noi Trip
฿ 34,000 THB

  • ~4 hours of guided shooting Active shooting time plus transitions between spots. We build the route around your priorities and group nearby locations where we can. Longer transfers, such as mountain or village routes, are factored into the plan before you book.
  • Up to 600 edited images delivered A 4-hour session delivers up to 600 edited images across all locations and outfits, with no curated cut inside that cap. If you would rather have a tighter edit, we can make the selection for you.
  • Up to 6 locations You are welcome to choose your locations or let us recommend based on your style and timing. We advise on light and flow to get the most out of each one.
  • 30–50 spots A spot is a distinct backdrop within a location: different light, angle, or setting. One temple can contain many spots, from courtyards and archways to shaded paths and ornate walls.

Multi-Day
Multi-Day Option
30,000 THB
≈ $910 · per day (4 hours) · min. 2 days

Book at least two days at four hours each and the daily rate drops. This works well if you want to cover different areas on separate days without rushing, or if you're pairing a city day with a flower field or mountain day.

Note on video: Adding a reel is possible. Because part of the session goes on filming, a one-minute edit typically reduces the final image count by around 150. Let us know at booking and we'll adjust the plan.

Air Quality in the North

This is worth knowing before you plan. February, March and April bring smoke season to northern Thailand, caused by agricultural burning across the region. March is typically the worst month. Air quality can drop significantly during this period, and some days are genuinely unpleasant to be outside.

We recommend checking current readings before your trip (IQAir covers the area in real time). If conditions are severe enough to affect health or visibility during your session, we may decline a booking or cancel it.

If clear air is a priority and your dates are flexible, November through January is generally the most reliable window.

Cancellation Policy

If it rains, or if the US AQI shown by IQAir for the area is above 150 at your scheduled start time, you can reschedule or cancel for a full refund. No partial credits, no complicated process.

Where We Shoot

The area gives you a lot of variety in a small radius. Below are the spots we work with most, grouped by type.

Hotels Worth Shooting At
A boutique hotel with thoughtful interior design throughout. The rooms, bath areas and pool all work well on camera. It suits a warm-up before heading out, or a standalone boudoir session.
Sits along the Ping River with a relaxed setting. The riverside gives a softer, more natural backdrop than the temples and markets.
A village-style layout with wooden interiors and plenty of set-ups across the property. Reasonably priced, good restaurant, and it feels nothing like a standard hotel.
Temples

The old city holds some of northern Thailand's most striking temples. Each has a different character.

  • Wat Chedi Luang – large ancient chedi with dramatic stone ruins and big open courtyards
  • Wat Lok Moli – a quieter temple just north of the moat, less visited and excellent in natural light
  • Wat Phra Singh – one of the most revered in the old city, with classic Lanna architecture and ornate detail
  • Wat Chiang Man – the oldest here, compact and calm, good for close architectural work
Cafes
A cafe styled after a European garden, with archways, flower arrangements and elaborate set-ups that read like a film set. It is consistently one of the most distinctive stops on a route.
Known for the hundreds of colourful koi that swim around the tables, which you can feed from baby bottles. The colour contrast and the interaction give you something you won't find elsewhere.
Flower Fields
The highlands produce some of Thailand's most vivid flower scenery. Blooms are usually at their peak from November through February, when the cooler air holds them longest.
  1. I Love Flower Farm – rows of colourful blooms at altitude, and a popular stop on a longer route
  2. Mon Jam – a mountain viewpoint surrounded by fields, with a relaxed market and cooler air
  3. Ying Yong Flower Garden – a well-kept garden with distinct sections, good for variety inside one location
Orange Garden
A working orchard in the hills to the north. Like the flower fields, it is at its best between November and February, when the fruit is on the trees. The rows of orange trees and the mountain views make an unusual backdrop for portraits.
Other Spots in the Area

These add variety and work well as part of a longer or multi-day route:

A local market with strong colour and texture, good for editorial and lifestyle frames.
Limestone falls you can walk up, with layers of white mineral terraces. Unusual, and it reads beautifully on camera.
A landscaped park with several waterfalls and fairy-tale set-ups built for exactly this.
Adds action and movement if you want something more dynamic than portraits.
A dramatic cliff formation along the Ping River, with reddish-orange rock columns rising from the bank. One of the more cinematic settings in the region.
Mae Kampong Village Area
A mountainside village about an hour out, surrounded by forest and terraced farmland. The village, the stream running through it and the eco-style hotels nearby all give material for a more natural, documentary approach.
Hotels in the area worth staying at or working around: La Lanna, Puradise Private Residence, and Lan Na Wild. Mae Kampong works especially well as a half-day or overnight leg within a multi-day package.

Yi Peng Lantern Festival

Yi Peng falls in November each year, with the exact dates shifting between early and late in the month. Thousands of paper lanterns rising into the night sky at once creates something you can't replicate anywhere else, and it is worth building a trip around.

Flights and hotels for November sell out early, so it pays to start planning roughly a year ahead for the best rates and availability. We can schedule a session around the festival, including portraits in traditional northern dress before the lantern release.

Festival Tickets

Entry tier, from about ฿5,000
Festival tickets are bought separately from your session and are set by the event organiser, not by us. The entry tier has recently sat at around 5,000 THB, with higher tiers costing considerably more, and prices tend to rise year on year. Tiers usually include lanterns, a krathong, a buffet and shuttle transport, differing mainly in seating position, views and overall access. Check the current listing when you book your dates.
Night Markets

Night Markets & Timing

There are several night markets, but two of the strongest run only at the weekend: the Saturday Walking Street on Wualai Road and the Sunday Walking Street along Ratchadamnoen Road. If your trip falls midweek, plan for the daily markets instead, including the Night Bazaar area.

Why Book a Chiang Mai Photographer Through Us

We have been shooting across Thailand for over 5 years, with hundreds of sessions completed nationwide, from the capital to Pattaya and the north. We know which spots work at different times of day, which cafes are worth the detour, and how to build a route that keeps unnecessary travel to a minimum.

Every session is fully private. We don't share slots, combine groups, or hand you off to an assistant. Your booking stays private from planning through delivery.

We also handle our own travel. There are no separate travel charges or unexpected expenses on our side: the advertised package price includes our flights and hotel.

What Clients Say

Booked a 4-hour session around the old city and a couple of cafes. Easy to work with, and they knew exactly where to position us without making it feel staged. Got far more back than I expected, and the edits came fast. Would book again if I'm ever back up north.

Wirawan Supatthana
Singapore

I was travelling alone and wasn't sure how this would go. The whole thing felt relaxed, not like being photographed at all. We hit six spots including Carp Cafe, which I never would have found on my own. Got about 400 back within a day and ended up using quite a few for my portfolio.

Dagmara Oles
Poland

My partner and I did the full day and it didn't feel rushed at any point. Some of the temple frames came out looking almost unreal. The turnaround was quick too, we had everything within a day.
