A short, varied session in one striking location
An Erawan Museum photoshoot is a private 1-hour session at the most distinctive landmark in Samut Prakan, the 29-metre bronze three-headed elephant on a 15-metre pink pedestal. The location packs three very different looks (the giant exterior statue, ornate interior with its stained-glass dome, and tropical gardens) into a tight, walkable footprint.
As your Erawan Museum photographer, we have shot 70+ sessions here and we know which spots deliver, which floor handles which light best, and how to time the visitor flow so the background stays clean.
If you want a Thai costume look, the museum has on-site rental and styling from 400 THB (full breakdown below). The session also pairs naturally with a longer half-day shoot at the nearby Ancient City.
Three floors, three looks
The building is laid out across three levels and each one delivers a different mood. Your Erawan Museum photographer moves you through them in sequence so the final set covers the full range without feeling repetitive.
Underworld
The lowest level, dim and atmospheric, full of antiques and ceramics. Soft, low light works for moody portraits and quieter, contemplative frames.
Earth
The visual centrepiece. Pink-and-blue porcelain staircase, the stained-glass dome casting coloured light, intricate columns. The strongest single image you'll get on the site.
Heavens
Inside the elephant itself. You climb a spiral staircase inside one of the legs to reach a small, quiet chapel space at the top with a star-painted ceiling and Buddha images.
Erawan Museum photoshoot package
One standard session covers the whole site comfortably. If you want more time, an outfit change, or to pair this with another nearby spot, we extend the booking on request.

- Up to 300 edited photos delivered
- Files within 24 hours, high-resolution
- One photographer, private booking, no group limit
- Costume rental and styling available on-site (see below)
Sessions start after 3 PM and wrap around 5:30 PM. The afternoon light is best for the exterior elephant, and the interior holds up at any time. Note: the museum's ticket counter closes at 5 PM, so we always arrive well before that.
Rental prices at the museum
The Erawan Museum has its own costume rental and styling counter on-site, no need to bring anything or book in advance. These are paid directly to the museum, separate from the photoshoot fee.

Pair it with an Ancient City photoshoot
The Ancient City sits 6 km away and pairs naturally with a longer half-day session. Ancient City needs a 2-hour minimum on its own, so the combo runs as either 27,000 THB for 3 hours or 34,000 THB for 4 hours total across both sites. The combined Klook ticket saves on entry. See Ancient City photoshoot details.

Three ways to reach the museum
The Erawan Museum sits in Samut Prakan, around 30 minutes by car from central Bangkok. We meet you at the entrance.
By BTS
Take the BTS Sukhumvit Line to Chang Erawan station. The museum is a short walk or quick Grab ride from there. Cheapest option.
By Grab or taxi
The simplest option door-to-door. Around 250 to 350 THB from central Bangkok via Grab. Journey takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.
By private car or driver
Best if you want air conditioning between stops or are combining with the Ancient City for a half-day. The two sites are 6 km apart.
Before your Erawan Museum photoshoot
Is one hour really enough?
Yes for most clients. The site is compact, and a 1-hour session covers all three floors and the gardens with time for a few outfit changes. If you want a more relaxed pace or want to combine with another spot, we extend the booking on request.
Is there a dress code?
Yes. The museum is also a place of worship, so shoulders and knees must be covered. You also remove shoes before entering the upper floors. A traditional Thai outfit works very well here and covers the dress code by default. Rental is on-site, prices below.
When is the best time of year?
November to February is the most comfortable, dry and 25 to 30°C. March to May is hot, often above 35°C, so the late-afternoon shoot window matters more. June to October is rainy season, but most of the location is indoors so a shower does not break the session.
Can we combine this with the Ancient City?
Yes, the two sites are 6 km apart and pair well as a half-day shoot. Klook sells a combined entry ticket that saves on the gate price. See the Ancient City photoshoot page for details on that location.
Is it good for family or kid photos?
Yes. The gardens give children space to move and the colourful interiors keep them engaged through the session. We work around visitor flow so the background stays clean. Afternoon sessions tend to work best with kids.
Is the entry fee included in the package?
No. Museum entry, costume rental and transport are paid separately, see the Klook combo for the cheapest entry.
