Phuket Photoshoot With a Local Photographer Who Knows the Island

Private afternoon photoshoots across Phuket, delivering hundreds of fully edited images within 3 days. Paced around your hotel, the light, and the route you want.

4-8 Hour Sessions 600-1,100+ Edited Photos 3-Day Turnaround RAW Files Included From ฿34,000

We run private afternoon photoshoots across Phuket, delivering hundreds of fully edited images within 3 days. Sessions are paced around your hotel, the light, and the route you want, with no shared time slots and no rushed transitions.

We work as a Phuket photographer team across hotels, beaches, and quieter inland spots. If you're here for a couples trip, an anniversary, a holiday with the kids, or just yourself, the same approach applies.

This page covers the best season to visit, our pricing, and the locations we actually recommend after years of working on the island. If you only have one afternoon, we'll help you spend it well.

Years of working the island

We've shot Phuket in every season and across every coast. We know where the light hits, which hotels photograph well, and which beaches to skip.

If you only have one afternoon, we'll help you spend it well.

Best Time for a Phuket Photoshoot

Dry Season

End of Nov - End of April

The dry season runs from end of November to end of April, and that's when you'll get the cleanest skies and the calmest sea. Almost no rain falls in this window, so planning is easy.

The coolest months are December to mid-February. After that, humidity climbs but the light stays great.

Shoulder

May - August

From May to August, rain shows up occasionally. Forecasts during this period look alarming, often showing clouds and storms for days.

In reality, if it rains, it's usually for about an hour in the afternoon and then clears. Shooting in this window works well.

Wet Stretch

September - Mid-November

September to mid-November is the wetter stretch and some areas can flood. If you're travelling then, we suggest moving to the Gulf of Thailand side instead, which is about an hour by flight.

Koh Samui, Koh Pha Ngan, and Koh Tao stay drier in that period because the Andaman side gets the southwest monsoon directly. The Gulf is partly sheltered and follows a different seasonal rhythm.

Phuket Photoshoot Pricing

Every session is private and one-on-one. You'll have the photographer's full attention, no shared time slots, and unlimited outfit changes inside your session time.

4 Hours
Noi Trip
฿ 34k THB
~$1,045 USD

  • Up to 600 edited photos delivered ?A 4-hour session delivers up to 600 edited images across all locations and outfits. Every usable frame is included, with nothing held back. If you prefer a curated selection of the best images fully edited, we can handle that selection for you.
  • Up to 6 locations ?You are welcome to choose your locations or let us recommend based on your style and timing. We advise on light and flow to get the most out of each one.

  • Unlimited outfit changes included in session time ?Bring as many outfits as you like. Changes happen within your session time, not on top of it. We plan stops into the route in advance so nothing is wasted.

Recommended Beaches on the Island

The coastline is long, but only a handful of beaches actually photograph well. These are the ones we return to.

Anthony Freedom Cape, Phuket
01

Anthony Freedom Cape

Anthony Freedom Cape isn't really a beach. Almost no sand, just rocks, but it photographs beautifully. The boulders make natural seating and the texture in frame is great.

JB Sunset Beach, Phuket
02

JB Sunset Beach

One of the best spots on this side of the coast. Sunsets here are reliable, and the rock formations give us a lot to work with in the final hour of light. It's also a quiet, romantic setting if you're planning a surprise proposal during the session.

03

Freedom Beach

Freedom Beach is frequently ranked among Thailand's top beaches and we think it's a solid pick. Access is a bit of a walk, and shade is limited, so we plan around the light carefully.

04

Nui Beach

A small, quiet cove that looks like a postcard. Many of our clients call it the best beach in the area.

05

Yanui Beach

On the south of the island, Yanui is a relaxed strip between two small headlands. It's compact, the water is calm, and the framing options are varied for such a short stretch.

Hotels Worth Shooting At

If you're staying at any of these, ask us to plan part of the session on the property. The gardens, pools, and architecture do a lot of the work.

1

Centara Grand Beach Resort

Our top three for hotel shoots on the island. Large grounds, several pool areas, and good architectural variety. The kids' playgrounds and family pools also make it one of the easier resorts for shooting with children, similar to what we do for our Bangkok family sessions.

Thavorn Beach Village & Resort, Phuket
2

Thavorn Beach Village & Resort

A 5-star property at a fair price. Big gardens and pools.

The beach is mangrove-style so swimming isn't great, but the rest of the complex looks fantastic. We suggest the pool-side or garden houses, not the rooms on the hill.

3

The Surin Phuket

A refined 5-star with one of the best private beaches in the area. The on-site beach restaurant is a strong backdrop in late afternoon. Couples often book this hotel as the setting for an entire destination wedding weekend.

4

Thavorn Palm Beach Resort

Easy, fun, and very pool-focused. The adjacent beach is a nice extension.

Other Locations We Like

Big Buddha is worth visiting if you've already shot the hotels and beaches and want a wider view of the island.

Elephant swims at Lucky Beach is popular for shots with elephants in the sea. It costs about 2,500 baht per person for 20 to 30 minutes, and the images can look incredible.

That said, this is not a sanctuary, and the operation is controversial. Reviews and welfare opinions are mixed. We mention it so you can decide for yourself.

British International School and Ko Kaeo Lake is our pick if you want a non-touristy backdrop. Calm water, parkland, and tidy architecture. Great for clients who want photos that don't scream "holiday", and a soft setting for a pregnancy photoshoot if you're travelling while expecting.

Phuket Old Town

Phuket Old Town is great for daytime shopping and night-time food. The weekend night market is excellent.

For shoots, though, we're honest: we didn't find many spots that worked. The Phuket Tower at the Chartered Bank building is the one exception. The rest tends to be crowded.

Clear Water and Boat Days

Local water is clear during dry season, but if you want something sharper, we suggest Ko He (Coral Beach Club) or Koh Racha Yai (Patok Beach). Both are short boat rides and the water reads bright turquoise in the camera.

Koh Yao Yai is also worth a mention. It's quiet, undeveloped, and feels like Thailand a couple of decades ago. Great for clients who want a slower pace and emptier frames.

We can also arrange a long-tail boat trip to small uninhabited islands nearby. Useful if you want a fully private setting with no other people in frame.

Other Areas We Cover

Koh Phi Phi and Krabi area

We shoot beyond this island too. In Koh Phi Phi, our favourite spot is Long Beach. In Krabi, we love working around the caves and limestone cliffs. For a full overview of where we travel across Thailand, see our travel photography page.

On price: Phuket is the most expensive of the three for travel and logistics, and Krabi is the most affordable.

Drone Photography and Video

We bring a drone to every session by default. That means aerial photos and short clips are included where the location and local rules allow. Good for hotel grounds, open beaches, and boat days.

What Our Clients Say

"

Booked the 6-hour package to mark our tenth anniversary with the kids in tow. I was worried the boys (4 and 7) would melt down halfway through, but the team kept the pace easy and built breaks into the route. The Centara garden shots are now framed in our living room. Hands down the best money we spent on the whole trip.

Maddison G., Austin TX
"

We did our pre-wedding shoot in Phuket last March and could not be happier with how it turned out. The Surin private beach in late afternoon gave us the soft light we wanted, then they switched us to JB Sunset for the final hour. Editing came back in two days. The album is now sitting on our wedding website and guests keep asking who shot it.

Ngoc Anh P., Ho Chi Minh City
"

I needed fresh photos for Hinge and my Instagram and didn't want the awkward selfie-in-front-of-a-mirror look anymore. We did 4 hours across Yanui and Anthony Freedom Cape. The shots feel like me, not like a magazine cover, which is exactly what I asked for. My match rate doubled in the first week. Worth it.

Hyemi K., Seoul
