Photo Studio Rental in Bangkok

Four spaces we have personally worked in and reviewed honestly. Rates, room details, equipment, locations, and who each one actually suits, so you can compare photography studio rental options before you commit to a date.

Photo studio rental in Bangkok starts from 850 THB / $30 per hour for furnished natural-light rooms and reaches 3k THB / $90 per hour for large professional cyclorama spaces with full lighting grids.

Booking note: We arrange these spaces for clients who are also hiring us behind the camera, so the room reservation, our fee, and any add-ons are all settled through one booking. We don't arrange room-only rentals. If you want a space without us, contact each venue directly.

Two Types of Rental Space

Furnished Rooms (Natural Light)

These look like real decorated rooms: bedrooms, living rooms, editorial spaces, lounge areas. They rely primarily on natural light through large windows, sometimes supported by small continuous lights. The results feel warm and lifestyle-oriented. They suit portraits, maternity, boudoir, family sessions, lifestyle content, and anything where a real-room background adds depth to the image.

Backdrop Rooms (Controlled Artificial Light)

Plain white, black, or coloured walls with professional strobes, softboxes, and lighting grids. Full control over light direction, intensity, and colour temperature regardless of the time of day or weather. They suit product work, commercial headshots, comp cards, catalogue images, and projects where a clean, consistent background is required.

MostlySunny

Our recommended space for most portrait, maternity, and business bookings.

MostlySunny sits near ICONSIAM shopping mall on the west bank of the Chao Phraya, easy to reach by BTS (Krung Thonburi station, exit 3) or by taxi from most central hotels. A booking here can continue to the nearby riverside for outdoor frames, particularly toward the evening.

The venue has five rooms, each with different furnishings, colour palettes, and window sizes. Rooms range from 32 m² to 50 m². Natural light is the primary source, with small artificial lights available to fill shadows or extend your shooting window into the evening.

Our favourites are Room 2 and Room B. They have the best balance of window light, space, and a clean versatile aesthetic that works for a wide range of work. We have photographed psychologists, entrepreneurs, and maternity clients here.

If you need more visual variety, it is worth booking two or three rooms for the same time slot. This gives you distinct backgrounds and colour palettes in a single visit without relocating. The overall value across the rooms is the best we have found at this price point.

Ketchup

Ketchup is a compact, well-priced backdrop space in the On Nut area, with straightforward BTS access. The 50 m² floor plan includes a dedicated makeup station, keeping prep and shooting in the same room without feeling cramped.

The venue has professional lighting equipment suited to clean headshots, single-subject portraits, comp cards, and small groups. At 1k THB / $30 per hour you get a reliable, consistently lit environment where results are predictable and repeatable.

This is a strong choice when you know exactly what you need and do not want to pay for space or equipment you will not use. It works well combined with our Sabai Session (1 hour), keeping the total investment low for a focused, efficient booking.

Mitr

Mitr is our go-to recommendation when a booking calls for a distinctive, characterful space. The venue has 10 individually themed rooms, each approximately 30-45 m², all using natural light as the primary source. The variety means you can achieve very different looks within a single booking without leaving the building.

Our favourite rooms are Princess Bedroom and Winston. The Princess Bedroom has the romantic, soft aesthetic that works beautifully for boudoir and intimate portraits. Winston has a more structured editorial feel, ideal for fashion work and strong creative concepts. Other rooms work well for podcasts, product lifestyle images, and casual portraits.

The main consideration with Mitr is location. It sits near Don Mueang Airport, which puts it further from the centre than our other recommendations. Budget extra travel time, and factor this in if you are combining indoor time with outdoor frames elsewhere in the city.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is the most production-oriented venue in this guide. It has two rooms with distinct configurations, both significantly larger than the others on this list. Both include lights, grips, and props as standard, along with a separate makeup area, storage space, and a private toilet.

Room A - Daylight

96 m² with a separate makeup area. Background options include a natural brick wall, white wall, black wall, wood wall, and two large windows, plus a lounge area with a makeup corner. The room suits commercial work, large family groups, fashion editorials, and content productions that need flexibility within a single space.

The cyclorama creates a seamless floor-to-wall background for stills and video that require a completely clean, infinite-looking backdrop. This is the room for larger commercial campaigns, group productions, product videos, and projects that need a big, fully controlled space.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which room is best for business headshots?

For a clean, professional white background, Ketchup is the most straightforward and cost-effective option. For a warmer, more editorial look, MostlySunny Room 2 is our top recommendation.

Which room is best for families?

MostlySunny works well for families up to 5 to 6 people. For larger groups, Cinnamon Room A gives you significantly more floor space (96 m²) with multiple background options in one room. For an intimate, lifestyle feel, Mitr's furnished rooms also work well for smaller families.

Which room is best for product work?

Ketchup suits small product shoots and e-commerce images that need a clean white backdrop. For high-volume commercial work, Cinnamon Room A or B offers the most professional equipment and the most space. Room B's cyclorama is particularly well suited to product video as well as stills.

Can I book one of these rooms without hiring you?

Not through us. We arrange these rooms only for clients who are also hiring us behind the camera, which is why the enquiry form asks for a package alongside the venue. We are not a rental platform and do not earn commission from venue bookings. For independent rental, contact each venue directly.

What does a booking cost in total?

A business headshot booking at Ketchup with our Sabai Session package costs around 12k THB / $365 in total. Two hours at MostlySunny with our Sanook Photoshoot package runs around 20.3k THB / $615. A full commercial production at Cinnamon Room B with a Sawasdee Deluxe package starts from 43k THB / $1,300 before optional add-ons.

What is a cyclorama and do I need one?

A cyclorama is a seamless curved wall that creates an infinity background where the floor meets the wall with no visible join. It is used in commercial work to achieve a completely clean, shadowless backdrop that appears to extend infinitely. Most portrait and family bookings do not need one. Product campaigns, advertising, and professional video productions often do. Cinnamon Room B is the only venue in this guide with a cyclorama wall.

Do the venues provide makeup artists?

All venues in this guide include a dedicated makeup station or area. None of them provide in-house makeup artists as part of the rental. If you need a makeup artist and hairstylist, add our in-house MUA team to your enquiry.

How far in advance should I book?

For most portrait and headshot bookings, one week's notice is often enough, subject to availability. For productions requiring Cinnamon, especially if you need both a setup day and a shoot day, two to three weeks is advisable. Peak periods (November to February) can fill faster across all venues.

Ready to Book?

Tell us about your project and we will recommend the right room and package combination. The room, our fee, makeup, and styling can all be confirmed through one booking.
