Hua Hin Photographer:
Locations, Beaches,
and What to Expect
A Hua Hin photoshoot with us covers more ground than most people expect. Temples, hotels, cafes, beaches: we plan the full route based on your style and timing.
Most Hua Hin photographers stick to the beach and the hotel pool. This page shows what a full-day route actually looks like: temples, themed hotels, rocky beaches most visitors never find. Planning a pre-wedding shoot, a proposal session, a wedding, or a personal portrait day? Read through the spots we actually use.

Beaches
Beaches in Hua Hin and Pranburi share a similar look: flat sand, calm water, low surf. The beach section of the day usually comes last to catch the afternoon light, though we plan around whatever window your day leaves free. What sets one beach apart is mostly the rock formations, the access, and how the light reads at different times.

Sai Noi Beach
Our first choice for beach photography in the area. Sai Noi has the best rock formations of any nearby beach, giving more compositional variety than open sand alone. It sits next to Turtle Bay Hotel and is easy to reach from the main resort strip.

Pak Nam Pran Beach
Further south, with rock formations plus access to Thao Ko Sa Forest Park, where there are caves and a short hiking trail. More local and less visited, meaning fewer people in the background. Combining Pak Nam Pran with Villa Maroc makes a strong full-day route for a Pranburi photoshoot.
Horse Riding on the Beach
Horse riding is one of the most requested additions to a Hua Hin beach session, and it works well photographically. Here is what to know before you book:
- We charge 300 THB for 15 minutes, with each additional 15 minutes at 300 THB. These are the horsemen's own rates and can change without notice.
- The horsemen who work the beach help with riding and with positioning for photos
- No previous riding experience is needed
- The horses are medium-sized, and the experience is designed to be accessible for first-timers
- The best beaches for this are Suan Son and Khao Tao
We plan the horse riding as one stop within a longer session. Fifteen minutes gives you a solid set of photos, and you can extend in 15-minute increments if you want more time. We position the horses relative to the light and the water to get the most out of it.

Hotels and Resorts for Photoshoots
Several hotels in Hua Hin are designed in a way that makes them excellent photography locations. These are our top picks.
The Barai
One of the most thoughtfully designed interiors we shoot at in the region. The architecture draws on ancient Thai and Khmer influences, with carved stone corridors, reflecting pools, and dramatic natural light. A recommended spot for boudoir sessions where the setting needs to carry its own weight.
Villa Maroc Pranburi
A Moroccan-styled boutique hotel right next to the beach. The tile work, arched doorways, terrace spaces, and warm interior palette make it one of the strongest hotel locations we use anywhere in Thailand. Also recommended for boudoir work; the beach access adds a second layer to any session here.
Resort de Paskani
A Greek-themed resort and restaurant in the Pranburi area. White walls, blue accents, and Mediterranean architecture give it a look you will not find at any other property on this list. The restaurant serves quality food, so it works as both a photography stop and a meal break.
Turtle Bay Hua Hin Eco Luxe
An unconventional, nature-integrated design: individual cabins with distinctive architecture set in a garden environment. If you are staying here as a guest and want photos during your trip, the property itself is a worthwhile stop, and Sai Noi beach is a few minutes away on foot.
Hyatt Regency Hua Hin
One of the best-proportioned resort pools we shoot at in the area. The water, the surrounding deck, and the resort architecture give a polished, magazine-style backdrop. Strong for portraits, couple sessions, and any shoot where you want a luxury resort feel without a cluttered background.
Anantara Hua Hin
Traditional Thai architecture with lush resort landscaping. The walkways, water features, and garden areas give the session a layered, textured look. Couples and families both photograph well here, and the grounds suit both relaxed resort outfits and formal dress.
Centara Grand Beach Resort Hua Hin
One of the oldest resort properties in Hua Hin. The architecture is colonial in style, with large gardens and open lawns. Works especially well for pre-wedding shoots, weddings, and sessions where the brief calls for a classic, formal, or gown-style aesthetic.
Themed Venues and Cafes
Hua Hin has an unusual number of internationally themed venues. Some are serious photography locations; others work as short stops to add variety to a longer session.
Pansook Food and Farm
A farm-style venue with open-air gardens, colourful flower displays, and natural backdrops. The light here works well in the morning. A wide range of looks within a single location: open fields, shaded paths, close-up floral setups.
Le Cereste Cafe and Home Cooking
A cafe with a garden and European-influenced decor. We usually plan this as a dessert break that doubles as a photography stop. The interior and garden give softer, more lifestyle-oriented frames.
Top Seacret Beach Cafe
A cafe with a direct sea view. The setting is relaxed with clear sightlines to the water. Works well for portraits that need a natural coastal background without stepping onto the beach itself.
Camel Republic

An Arab and Egyptian themed tourist park with camels, decorated archways, and colourful backdrops. Usually very few other visitors, keeping the photos clean. We recommend a short stop here, around 20 to 30 minutes, rather than a full session. It adds strong visual contrast to a day that also includes temples or beaches.
Siam Venezia

A large Venetian-themed park with canals and European architecture built to scale. You can take a gondola ride while we shoot from the bank. We use this for a handful of photos when a session has the time. Pairs well with outfits that lean toward formal or dress styles.
Temples Worth the Drive
Most visitors skip the temples in Hua Hin. That is a mistake — the two below are among the most visually interesting temples we have shot at in Thailand.
Wat Tham Chaeng

Wat Tham Chaeng is a spiral dragon temple, and it is enormous. The sheer scale stops most visitors mid-step. One dragon wraps the entire structure from base to top.
Directly in front there is a second temple still under construction. The scaffolding and partially finished architecture create a completely different set of backdrops. We use both on the same stop.
Wat Cha Am Khiri

A smaller, very local temple reached by a long staircase with hundreds of steps. It is a quick stop rather than a full location, typically two or three photo setups. The climb, the views from the top, and the temple itself give you images that look nothing like the resort photos most people leave Hua Hin with.
What Type of Session Works Best in Hua Hin?
- Pre-wedding sessions at resort gardens, temples, and beach locations
- Proposals at private beach spots or hotel terraces with sea views
- Wedding day coverage at resort venues and beachfront properties
- Boudoir sessions at The Barai and Villa Maroc Pranburi in particular
- Personal portrait and couple sessions combining a mix of the locations above
If you are based elsewhere in Thailand or travelling through, we also cover Pattaya and the rest of the country. We are based in Bangkok and travel regularly.

They Came for the Beach. They Stayed for the Rest.
We did the pre-wedding shoot across two locations and the beach at sunset. Every spot felt planned around the light, not just picked at random. The resort photos came out better than I expected, very editorial. Editing landed in two days.
Booked this for our pre-wedding and added the horse riding on the beach, which I was not sure about. Turned out to be the highlight of the whole day. The sunset session gave us photos that look like they belong in a magazine.
Organised, punctual, no unnecessary talking during the shoot. Pre-wedding package across the resort and the beach. The sunset at the end of the day was timed well, clearly not accidental. Good value for what you get.
How a Hua Hin Day Works
Here is how we typically structure a full session:
Confirm timing and locations based on the light and your outfit count
Start at the first location, usually a hotel or resort depending on the brief
Move through planned stops with outfit changes built into the route
Include a cafe or food stop mid-session if the schedule allows
Finish at the beach when the route allows, since afternoon and evening light suit it best
