  • Up to 200 edited imagesMost 1-hour sessions deliver at least 100 edited images. The final count depends on the locations and variety of shots. If you'd rather have a curated selection of the 10 to 20 best images, we can make it for you.
  • Up to 2 Bangkok locationsWe plan locations in the same area, so travel between them is usually 5 to 15 minutes and most of your time goes into shooting.
  • 7 to 12 different photo spotsA location is a separate place we travel between. A spot is one setup inside it: a doorway, a staircase, a stretch of railing. One location usually gives several spots.

  • Studio: not included, available as an add-on from 850 THB / $25 per hour.

Your Photographer

Who Will Photograph You

One photographer covers your whole portrait session. Most of the time that is Jay. He has been behind the camera since 2018 and spent his first three years as a photojournalist. That is where he learned to read people fast and catch real expressions, which is why first-timers relax with him. He speaks English and Russian, plus basic Korean.

If your portrait is about styling, fashion or an editorial look, Jami leads. She has been shooting since 2016 and studied fashion communication at India's National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). She plans clothes, colour, hair and makeup as one picture. She speaks English and Hindi.

Prepare

How to Prepare for Your Portrait Session

A little planning makes a real difference. Follow these five steps.

Hydrate & rest

Drink water the day before and get a full night of sleep. Dark circles and tired skin show up on camera.

Schedule haircuts early

If you're getting a haircut, avoid leaving it until the last minute. A few days gives most cuts time to settle naturally.

Keep your routine familiar

Stick to skincare products you already know work for you. The day before is not the time to experiment with something new.

Groom thoughtfully

A fresh shave or neatly trimmed facial hair, tidy brows and clean nails all make a difference at portrait distance.

Plan for the heat

Outdoors, bring water and something small to blot away perspiration between shots. Bring a small towel for sweat. Solid colours photograph better than loud patterns.

Style your hair the way you usually wear it, and bring products since Bangkok weather changes quickly.

Outfit changes count toward your session time. Add 15 minutes to your expected arrival, or 20 for Benchakitti, and more if it has just rained.

Indoor Option

Indoor Portrait Sessions

When you need complete consistency in light and background, we work indoors in a private Bangkok space. No traffic, no weather, no crowds. Controlled lighting lets us shape depth, shadow and skin tone precisely, with clean backgrounds tailored to the look you want.

For clean, controlled light we use Ketchup, which has a makeup station in the same room. For a warmer, natural-light feel we use MostlySunny's furnished rooms near the river, or Mitr's themed rooms if you want more character. All the rooms we work in are rented, and we book them for you.

Indoor sessions work especially well for:

  1. 1 Clean, consistent portraits Consistent lighting across every frame, with multiple expressions and angles in one booking.
  2. 2 Portfolio updates Several backdrops and looks created within one booking.
  3. 3 Consistent sets Matching colour and light across a whole series of images.

An indoor session is the package plus the room, from 11,850 THB: 11,000 THB for the Sabai Session plus room rental from 850 THB per hour, depending on which room suits the work. We handle the reservation as part of your booking, so you only deal with one invoice. More on indoor sessions →

Our Signature

After Dark

This is what sets our work apart. We shoot after sunset when the city turns into colour, using neon signs and urban nightscapes to build frames with bold contrast and dramatic light.

Neons run from 7pm all year, and we start at 7pm sharp in Chinatown because the red neon spot can close shortly after. Mondays are noticeably quieter, with fewer food stalls.

Bold, saturated colours work best against the signage. Sunglasses are worth bringing, since we can catch the neon reflecting in the lenses.

Styling Support

Hair, Makeup & Styling

We work with makeup artists and stylists who know how a face reads on camera. Camera makeup is different from everyday application, and our artists enhance your features without making you look overdone.

Hair and makeup from 4,000 THB, and styling advice from 500 THB. A full look adds polish while still photographing naturally. If you prefer something barely there, the artist can even out skin tone and control shine without making you look heavily made up. Your artist can also stay through the session for touch-ups. Stylists help you choose outfits that read well on camera and match your intended mood.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a portrait session cost?

The 1-hour Sabai session is 11,000 THB, the 2-hour Sanook session is 19,000 THB, and the 4-hour Sawasdee session is 34,000 THB. Hair, makeup, styling and indoor room rental are optional extras.

Who will photograph me, and in what language?

One photographer covers your whole session. Jay shoots most portraits in English or Russian, and Jami leads styled or editorial shoots in English or Hindi. You can ask for either of them by name.

I hate being photographed. Will this still work?

Yes. Most of our clients start out that way. We give you simple things to do, like walking or turning, and shoot the moments in between.

What time of day is best?

Late afternoon gives the softest light, and early morning gives the quietest streets. Neon sessions start at 7pm in Chinatown. Midday sun is harsh, so we avoid it for outdoor portraits when we can.

What should I wear?

Solid colours work better than loud patterns, and bold colours look best under neon. On the 2- and 4-hour packages you can change outfits as often as you like, so bring two or three. Bring a small towel, because Bangkok is hot.

What happens if it rains?

Rain here usually passes within an hour. We can wait, move to covered spots or postpone to another day. If you cancel because of rain, your deposit is refunded in full.

How fast will I get my photos?

Your edited gallery arrives within 3 days. The Sanook and Sawasdee packages include 24-hour delivery, and you can add it to Sabai for 2,000 THB.

How do the deposit and payment work?

A 30% card deposit holds your slot. On the day you pay in cash in Thai baht, and the deposit goes back to your card. Wise, Revolut or Thai QR also work, and you can move the date for free with 48 hours' notice.
