About us

Hey!

Jay, Jami and Kitsana here!

We're a team of three based in Bangkok. Between us, we speak Thai, English, Russian, Mandarin and Hindi, plus some Korean. One of us is behind the camera at each session, matched to your preferred language and the kind of shoot you're planning.

We built our approach around a simple idea: the strongest images don't just show you a place. They bring back the feeling of being there. Over 1,250 sessions later, that's still what we're chasing.

Behind the Camera

Our story

Our first sessions were 600 baht an hour

It began in 2021, deep into COVID. Temples were closed, tourists were gone, and the city looked nothing like it does today. We charged 600 baht an hour and photographed anyone willing to give us a chance.

The spark came in 2021, on a neon shoot we did as tourists ourselves. The colors, the energy, the way a simple street could look electric at night. We wanted to create that feeling for other people, too. We started doing it, and we never stopped.

The three of us found each other along the way. Different backgrounds, different ways of seeing, the same instinct for a frame. That's what holds the team together.

The colors pulled us in first. Everything we do still comes back to them.

Our approach

We call it vibe photography

The people in our galleries are real clients, and around 99% had little or no experience in front of a camera before shooting with us.

A good image begins before anyone takes a pose. It begins with the relationship between a person, a place, and the light around them.

A busy street can create energy and movement. A quiet corner can make a portrait feel more intimate. Neon can throw unexpected colors across a face, while a small change in angle can turn an ordinary background into something graphic and distinctive.

We look for what makes a scene interesting, then build the image around it. We set the composition, guide the pose to fit the environment, and adjust the details until you feel like a natural part of the frame rather than someone placed in front of a backdrop.

Posing matters, but it works best when it belongs to the scene. We adapt our direction to the person, their energy, the setting, and the feeling we're after. The goal isn't to make everyone look the same. It's to find what brings out something different in each session.

That's what we mean by vibe photography: images shaped as much by atmosphere and feeling as by the person in the frame.

You don't need to know how to pose

You don't need to know where to stand, what to do with your hands, or how to look natural in front of a camera. That's our part of the process.

We'll explain what we're trying, give you direction when you need it, and adjust things if a pose doesn't feel right. Some people settle in immediately; others need a little time. We work with both.

We have dozens of poses to choose from, and we adapt them to how you move, your energy, and who you're shooting with:

  • Solo shoots
  • Couples
  • Families
  • Groups of friends

You can plan your shoot in the language you're most comfortable with, so you always understand what we're going for.

We know our locations inside out

We've shot all our locations dozens, sometimes hundreds of times. We know how they change throughout the day, where the light falls, which angles work, and how to move between spots without wasting time.

After enough sessions in the same city, you start noticing things you wouldn't think to look for at first. Which streets become interesting after dark. Which backgrounds need a little distance to work. How a few steps to the side can change the color of the light on someone's face.

We plan routes, timing, transport and lighting windows before the session starts. That leaves us free to concentrate on you, rather than figuring out the basics on the spot.

A successful session isn't about collecting as many poses as possible. It's about making good decisions consistently, adapting when a location changes, and knowing when to direct and when to let a moment happen on its own.

By the numbers

A few things that tell our story better than words

~1–1.5 hrs

To edit a typical one-hour session

A one-hour session takes us just over an hour to edit. That's one reason standard delivery lands within three days rather than weeks.

We've built a workflow where good images happen quickly. When the location, route and creative direction are already planned, we can spend more of the session shooting and less time working out where to stand or what to shoot.

Clients regularly receive more images than the quoted number. When a session produces extra frames that meet our standards, we'd rather include them than hold them back.

The team

Three of us. One of us at your session.

One person per session. We don't send a crew or hand you off halfway through. We match each booking to whoever fits best, based on your preferred language and what the shoot needs. If you'd like a specific one of us, just say so in your enquiry and we'll do our best to make it happen.

Jay looks for the relationship between light, composition and expression. Jami thinks in terms of color, styling and the complete visual story. Kitsana brings an observational eye for atmosphere, context and the details that make a moment feel real. What we share is the starting point: an image should feel connected to the place where it was made.

We work across Bangkok and travel throughout the country, so between the three of us we can keep the calendar flexible. Same approach, same locations, same editing style. Whoever you shoot with, what you see in our galleries is what we work toward at every session.

Jay · Light & Direction

Jay has been behind the camera since 2018. He started out with three years as a photojournalist, where he learned to read people quickly, anticipate moments, and catch real expressions instead of relying on staged scenes.

Today his focus is portraits, lifestyle, families and couples. He's particularly interested in how light shapes a face, how a background frames a subject, and how small adjustments in posture change the feeling of an image. His direction is practical and understated, and he's especially good with people who have never had a professional shoot before. He has continued training in posing, psychology and client communication. He speaks Russian and English, plus basic Korean.

Jami · Makeup, Hair & Styling

Jami has been shooting since 2016 and studied fashion communication at India's National Institute of Fashion Technology, including four years of camera work alongside graphic design and trend forecasting.

She approaches an image as a complete visual composition: clothing, color, hair, makeup, posture and location all contribute to the final frame. She leads our makeup, hair and styling, and works as a creative director on bigger shoots. She's drawn to editorial, fashion-led and boudoir work, where a clear concept gives the images their identity, and she balances it with natural, relaxed posing. Hair, makeup and styling can be added to any booking. She speaks English and Hindi.

Kitsana · Documentary Perspective

Kitsana comes from journalism and documentary work, including reporting for Business Insider and community storytelling exhibited in Washington, D.C. She pays attention to context, atmosphere and the small details that give a place its character, and looks for the relationship between the subject and their surroundings.

She also shoots on film, bringing an interest in texture, observation and the feeling of a moment preserved. She speaks Thai, English and Mandarin.

Our signature

Chinatown at night is where we live

Yaowarat, the city's Chinatown, is our favorite location and our specialty. The neon signs, the colors, the movement. It's where the whole thing started in 2021, and it remains our signature shoot.

We're drawn to the way the neighborhood transforms after dark. Shopfronts become light sources, ordinary streets turn into layers of color, and the movement around you becomes part of the composition.

Color shapes where we take you, which angle we shoot from, and how we edit the final images. We pay attention to how neon interacts with skin tones, how a background leads the eye, and how the surrounding street can give a portrait its own atmosphere. An image should make you feel where you were, not just show you what it looked like.

Let's make something good

Come and shoot the city with us. We'll handle the locations, light and posing. You just need to show up.
