FAQ
Why not just hire a cheaper makeup artist separately?
You can, and some people do. The difference is coordination. Our artists work exclusively with Lukfoto photographers, so they already understand our lighting setup, how different foundations read on camera versus in person, and when to adjust a look mid-shoot as conditions change. A makeup artist skilled in everyday settings isn't always trained for photography specifically. If you're investing in a photoshoot, it's worth making sure the styling doesn't let the photos down.
What's included in each package?
Each package includes both makeup and hair styling. You get one complete look per session. Makeup and hair are designed together to create a cohesive result for your photoshoot.
Can the artist stay on set for touch-ups during my shoot?
Yes, at no extra charge. If you'd like your artist to remain on set throughout your photoshoot for touch-ups and adjustments, simply let us know when booking. It's available for all packages and especially recommended for longer sessions or outdoor shoots in warm weather.
Can I book styling without a photoshoot?
Our styling services are designed specifically for Lukfoto photography sessions and aren't offered as standalone salon services. This ensures your look is optimised for camera work and coordinated with your shoot timeline from the start.
How long does styling take?
It depends on the package and your individual needs. The Natural Radiance package typically takes around 1–1.5 hours. Signature Glam with intricate hairstyling can take 2.5–3.5 hours. Men's packages are generally quicker, around 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. We'll confirm expected timing when you book.
Can I request a specific look or bring reference photos?
We encourage it. Sharing inspiration images, mood boards, or specific references before your session helps our team understand your vision and deliver exactly the look you have in mind.
Can you work with my skin type or specific concerns?
Yes. Our artists have experience with all skin types and conditions. When booking, let us know about any sensitivities, allergies, or concerns. We'll make sure your assigned artist brings the right products and approach for your needs.
How do I prepare for my styling appointment?
Come with clean, moisturised skin and clean, dry hair. Avoid applying heavy skincare products on the day of your shoot, as they can interfere with application. For hair services, washing the night before rather than the same morning gives better hold and texture.
How does group booking work?
Group rates apply for 3 or more people who each require both hair and makeup. Women are 2,500 THB per person and men are 2,000 THB per person. For mixed groups, rates are applied individually based on the service each person needs. Get in touch to discuss your group's requirements.
