Wat Pho
Photoshoot

A private session at one of the city's most recognised temples. Couples, solo travellers and families. Mornings and late afternoon give the best light.

What the session covers

A focused Bangkok temple photoshoot, not a tour

We take you straight to the angles and corners that photograph best. We work through the Reclining Buddha area, the chedi rows and the courtyards, so your gallery has real variety in background, framing and light.

Sessions are private and paced for you. We direct posing, watch the light, and keep things moving so the shoot stays relaxed. Note that kissing is not allowed inside the temple, but close poses like holding hands or foreheads touching work well.

Best times: mornings from 8am to 10am are cool and quiet before the crowds build. Late afternoon gives softer light. We avoid roughly 10am to 2pm, when the light is harsh.

Want to wear something traditional? Have a look at our Thai costume rental options before you book.

How a session runs

Booking a Bangkok temple photoshoot

Four simple steps. We keep the planning straightforward so you can focus on the session itself.

  1. 01

Send us your dates and group size. We confirm availability and the best time to start.

  2. 02

We agree on outfits, locations and timing. If you want a Thai costume, we point you to a rental nearby.

  3. 03

We meet at the main entrance, in front of "Hello Sit Down by Ladda Aunt". If your driver drops you at a different gate, share your live location and we'll find you. Wait for us before going in, so we can buy our ticket together. Add 15 minutes to your expected arrival time, more if it has just rained. The session runs about an hour, covering a chosen mix of courtyards, chedis and architectural details.

  4. 04

You get up to 200 edited images, delivered in 3 days in a private online gallery, or in 24 hours for an extra 2,000 THB.

Want a second location? Saranrom Park is 3 to 5 minutes on foot, the flower market about 10 minutes, and the sunset viewpoint by the river is a short ride away. Any of them works as the second stop in the same booking. Travel between them counts toward the session time.

The riverside spot is only about 10 minutes of shooting, which is why we always pair it with something. From August to mid November clear sunsets are rare, so we shoot just after sunset when Wat Arun lights up.

Good to know

Before your Wat Pho photoshoot

What is the dress code?

Women should cover their shoulders, midriff and knees. Men should avoid tank tops; longer shorts or trousers are recommended. Bring a light shirt or a wrap if your outfit is short, or rent a traditional Thai costume for the day. The temple lends shawls and sarongs free, but they don't look great in photos, so dressing appropriately is better.

Can I wear a wedding dress or bridal outfit?

No. Wedding dresses, veils and bridal gowns aren't allowed at temples. Thai traditional costume is fine, and evening wear works if shoulders, cleavage, midriff and knees are covered.

What time does the session start?

We can meet you any time from 8am, and the temple closes to visitors at 7:30pm, so the latest suitable start is usually around 5 to 6pm depending on the season. Mornings from 8am to 10am are cool and quiet before the crowds build, and late afternoon gives softer light. We avoid roughly 10am to 2pm, when the light is harsh.

How long should I allow for getting there?

Add 15 minutes to your expected arrival time, more if it has just rained. Bangkok traffic near the old town is unpredictable, and arriving early is far better than eating into your session.

How many people can join?

Solo, couples, families and small groups all work, and the price is per booking rather than per person. For larger groups, mention the head count in your enquiry so we can plan the pace and the spots inside the temple.

Is the entrance fee included?

No. The temple charges 300 THB per person at the gate, paid on the day. That goes to the temple, not to us. You also cover the photographer's ticket, which is why we buy them together when we meet.

Can we add a second location?

Yes. The package covers 1 to 2 locations. Saranrom Park is 3 to 5 minutes on foot, the flower market about 10 minutes, and the riverside sunset viewpoint a short ride away. Travel between the two counts toward your session time.

Can we kiss in the images?

Not inside the temple grounds. Close poses work well, though: holding hands, foreheads touching or an arm around the waist. We'll direct you so the images still feel like a couple's session.

Ready to book your temple session?

Tell us your dates and we'll check the available slots. Every session is private, from planning through to gallery delivery.
