Photoshoot Packages

Looking for a Chiang Mai photographer who actually knows the city? We travel from Bangkok and cover every corner of it, from old city temples to mountain flower fields and jungle waterfalls. Our sessions are private, guided, and built around your schedule.

Private Sessions 4-8 Hours 600+ Photos 3-Day Delivery

What a Photoshoot in
Chiang Mai Looks Like

We travel to you. That means we book our own flights and hotel, which is already included in the price. You don't handle any logistics on our end.

Sessions start with a route plan based on your preferences. We discuss which spots to visit, how much time to spend at each, and what mood or style you're going for. Then we shoot. No rushing, no strangers in the background, no one else's timeline to follow.

We recommend renting a private SUV or van for the day. The best photo locations are spread out, and public transportation doesn't reach all of them. Your hotel can usually arrange this.

This page covers everything

4 Hours
Noi Trip
฿ 34k THB
~$1,045 USD
  • ~4 hours of guided, professional shooting ?Active shooting time plus short transitions between spots. Locations are planned in the same area so travel is typically 15-30 minutes, keeping your shooting time maximised.
  • Up to 600 edited photos delivered ?A 4-hour session delivers up to 600 edited images across all locations and outfits. Every usable frame included - nothing held back. If you prefer a curated selection of the best images fully edited, we can handle that selection for you.
  • Up to 6 locations ?You are welcome to choose your locations or let us recommend based on your style and timing. We advise on light and flow to get the most out of each one.
  • 30-50 unique photo spots ?A spot is a distinct backdrop within a location: different light, angle, or setting. One temple can contain many unique spots - courtyards, archways, shaded paths, ornate walls.
  • Private session, no strangers or interruptions ?Your booking is exclusively yours. No other clients, no shared time slots, no overlapping groups. Full photographer attention for the entire session.
  • Unlimited outfit changes included in session time ?Bring as many outfits as you like - changes happen within your session time, not on top of it. We plan stops into the route in advance so nothing is wasted.
  • 3-day editing turnaround ?Your fully edited gallery is delivered within 3 business days via Google Drive. Every image is colour-graded by us.
  • RAW files on request ?RAW files are the uncompressed originals straight from the camera, with maximum editing flexibility. Available at no extra cost - just ask before your session.
  • 2-year cloud backup ?Your gallery is stored on our Google Drive for 2 years from the delivery date.
Available Add-on
  • Photo reel Add-on ?A short-form video compiled from your session photos. A 1-minute edit typically reduces the photo count by around 150 images. Let us know at booking and we'll adjust the plan.

Multi-Day
Multi-Day Option
฿30,000
~$925 USD · per day (4 hours) · min. 2 days

When you book at least two days (4 hours each), the rate drops to ฿30,000 per day. This works well if you want to cover different areas on separate days without rushing, or if you're combining a city session with a flower field or mountain day.

Note on video: Adding a video reel is possible. A 1-minute edit typically reduces the photo count by around 150 images. Let us know at booking and we'll adjust the plan.

Air Quality in Chiang Mai

This is worth knowing before you plan. February, March, and April bring smoke season to northern Thailand, caused by agricultural burning across the region. March is typically the worst month. Air quality can drop significantly during this period, and some days are genuinely unpleasant to be outside.

We recommend checking current air quality online before your trip (IQAir covers Chiang Mai in real time). If conditions are severe enough to affect health or visibility during your session, we may decline a booking or cancel it.

If you have flexibility in your travel dates, the safest window is November through January.

Cancellation Policy

If it rains or if the AQI is above 150 on the day of your session, we reschedule or cancel with a 100% refund. No partial credits, no complicated process.

Best Photo Locations in Chiang Mai

The city gives you a lot of variety in a small area. Below are the spots we work with most, grouped by type.

Hotels Worth Shooting At
A boutique hotel with thoughtful interior design throughout. The rooms, bath areas, and pool all photograph well. It works as a warm-up location before heading out, or as a standalone boudoir session.
Sits along the Ping River with a relaxed, photogenic atmosphere. The riverside setting gives a softer, more natural backdrop compared to the city's temples and markets.
A village-style layout with wooden interiors and plenty of photo spots throughout the property. It's budget-friendly, has a good restaurant, and feels completely different from a standard hotel.
Temples

The old city holds some of northern Thailand's most photographed temples. Each has a different character.

  • Wat Chedi Luang - large ancient chedi with dramatic stone ruins and big open courtyards
  • Wat Lok Moli - a quieter temple just north of the moat, less visited and very photogenic in natural light
  • Wat Phra Singh - one of the most revered temples in the city, with classic Lanna architecture and ornate detail
  • Wat Chiang Man - the oldest temple in the city, compact and calm, good for close-up architectural shots
Cafes
A cafe styled after a European garden, with archways, flower arrangements, and elaborate setups that photograph like a set. Clients consistently pick it as one of the most distinctive stops on a session.
Famous for the hundreds of colorful koi carp that swim around the tables. You can feed them with baby bottles. The color contrast and interaction make for something you won't find anywhere else.
Flower Fields
The highlands produce some of Thailand's most vivid flower scenery. The best time to visit is November through February, when the cooler weather keeps blooms at their peak.
  1. I Love Flower Farm - rows of colorful blooms at high altitude, a popular stop for travel photography
  2. Mon Jam - a mountain viewpoint surrounded by fields, with a relaxed market atmosphere and cooler temperatures
  3. Ying Yong Flower Garden - a well-maintained garden with different flower sections, good for variety within a single location
Orange Garden
A working orchard in the hills north of the city. Like the flower fields, it's at its best between November and February, when the fruit is on the trees. The rows of orange trees and mountain views make it an unusual backdrop for portraits.
Other Attractions in the Area

These spots add variety and work well as part of a longer or multi-day session:

A local market with strong color and texture, great for editorial and lifestyle shots.
Limestone waterfalls you can walk on, with layers of white mineral terraces - unusual and very photogenic.
A landscaped park with multiple waterfalls and fairy-tale setups built for photography.
Adds action and movement to your session if you want something more dynamic than portraits.
A dramatic cliff formation along the Ping River, with reddish-orange rock columns rising from the riverbank - one of the more cinematic settings in the region.
Mae Kampong Village Area
A mountain-side village about an hour from the city, surrounded by forest and terraced farmland. The village, the stream running through it, and the eco-style hotels nearby all offer material for a more natural, documentary style of photography.
Hotels in the area worth staying at or shooting around: La Lanna, Puradise Private Residence, and Lan Na Wild. Mae Kampong works especially well as a half-day or overnight trip within a multi-day package.

Yi Peng Lantern Festival

The Yi Peng Festival happens in November each year (exact dates shift between early and late November). Thousands of paper lanterns rising into the night sky at once creates a visual you can't replicate anywhere else, and it's worth building your trip around.

Flights and hotels for November sell out early. Start planning in November of the prior year for the best rates and availability. We can schedule a photoshoot around the festival, including portraits in traditional Northern Thai dress before the lantern release.

Ticket Tiers

Standard ฿4,900
Elite ฿15,900
All tiers include 2 lanterns, 1 krathong, a vegetarian-friendly buffet, and shuttle transport. Differences in seating position, views, air-conditioned transport, and overall access.
Night Markets

Night Markets & Timing

The city has several night markets, but the best ones, including the famous Sunday Walking Street on Wualai Road, are only open on Saturday and Sunday. If your trip falls on a weekday, plan for the daily markets instead (Nimman Night Market and the Night Bazaar area).

What Clients Say

"Booked a 4-hour session around the old city and Mae Kampong. Luk was easy to work with and knew exactly where to position us without making it feel staged. Got way more photos than I expected, and the edits came back fast. Would book again if I'm ever back in northern Thailand."

Wirawan Supatthana
Supply Chain Analyst, Singapore

"I was traveling alone and wasn't sure how this would go. The whole session felt relaxed, not like a photoshoot at all. We hit six spots including Carp Cafe which I never would've found on my own. Got about 400 photos back within a day, ended up using quite a few for my portfolio. Really glad I didn't just rely on selfies."

Dagmara Oles
Architectural Technician, Poland

"Honestly I almost didn't book because of the price but I'm really glad I did. My partner and I did the full day and it didn't feel rushed at any point. Some of the temple shots came out looking almost unreal. The turnaround was quick too, had everything within a day."
