Phuket Photographer for Hotels, Beaches, and Sunset Sessions
We have shot this island in every season and on every coast, so we already know where the light lands, which resorts photograph well, and which beaches are actually worth building a session around. The route is built around your hotel, your preferred timing, and the best light available that day.
The Island Through a Lens
Every booking is private and paced around you: no shared time slots, no rushed transitions between stops, and no fixed circuit you have to follow. We agree the route before the day, then shoot it.
We work across resorts, beaches and quieter inland spots. Whether you are here for an anniversary, a holiday with the kids, or on your own, the approach is the same.
Below is the best season to come, our rates, and the locations we actually recommend after years of working here. If you only have one afternoon, we will help you spend it well.
What that experience buys you
Knowing that a beach with no sand can photograph better than a famous one. Knowing which resort pool holds light at four in the afternoon. Knowing which stops are worth twenty minutes and which are worth an hour.
You get a route that works, not a list of places you could have found yourself.
When to Book Us Here
End of Nov to end of April
The cleanest skies and the calmest sea, and the easiest window to plan a route in. Rain is much less frequent in this stretch.
December to mid-February is coolest. After that the humidity climbs, but the light stays excellent.
May to August
Rain shows up occasionally, and the forecast will look alarming for days at a time.
In practice, showers are often brief and followed by workable conditions. We shoot this period regularly and build a fallback into the route.
September to mid-Nov
The wettest stretch, and some areas can flood. If you are travelling then, we may recommend moving the session to the Gulf side instead.
Koh Samui, Koh Pha Ngan and Koh Tao stay drier in that period, because this coast takes the southwest monsoon directly while the Gulf is partly sheltered and runs on a different rhythm. We cover both, so the season does not have to decide your dates.

Good for splitting the island across two afternoons, or for combining it with a nearby destination rather than compressing everything into one long day.
Check Your Dates With Us
Most weeks in high season fill two to three months ahead, so an early message gives you the better slots. There is no obligation to book.
Send us your dates and we'll come back with a route suggestion and availability.
The Beaches We Recommend
The coast is long, but only a handful of stretches actually photograph well. These are the ones we come back to.

Anthony Freedom Cape
Barely a beach at all: almost no sand, mostly rock. It photographs beautifully anyway. The boulders give us natural seating and the texture does a lot of the work in frame.

JB Sunset
One of the strongest stops on this side of the coast. The last hour of light works particularly well here, and the rock formations give us structure to build around. Quiet enough that we also use it for a surprise proposal inside a session.
Freedom Beach
Deserves its reputation, and we rate it. Access takes a walk and shade is limited, so we plan the arrival time around the light rather than turning up and hoping.
Nui Beach
A small, quiet cove. More clients call this their favourite stop of the day than any other on the island.
Yanui
A relaxed strip on the south end between two small headlands. Compact, calm water, and more framing options than a stretch that size has any right to.
Resorts Worth Shooting At
If you are staying at any of these, ask us to plan part of the route on the property. The gardens, pools and architecture do a lot of the work for us.
Centara Grand Beach Resort
One of our top three on the island. Large grounds, several pool areas, and real architectural variety in one place. The family pools and play areas also make it one of the easier properties to work at with young children, the same way we handle our family sessions in the city.

Thavorn Beach Village & Resort
A five-star property with extensive gardens and large pool areas.
The beach is mangrove-style, so swimming is not the draw, but the rest of the complex looks excellent. We suggest the poolside or garden houses over the rooms up the hill.
The Surin
Refined, with one of the best private beaches in the area. The beach restaurant is a strong backdrop in late afternoon. Clients often use this property as the setting for a whole destination wedding weekend.
Thavorn Palm Beach Resort
Easy to work in and very pool-focused. The beach next door extends the route without a transfer.
Other Stops We Like
Big Buddha is worth adding once the resorts and shoreline are covered and you want the wider view of the island in the set.
Elephant swims come up often, because the images can look extraordinary. We will tell you plainly: the operation is not a sanctuary and welfare opinions are divided.
We mention it so the decision is yours rather than a surprise on the day. If you would rather not, we will not suggest it again.
Ko Kaeo Lake and the parkland around it is our pick when you want a backdrop that does not read as a holiday. Calm water, tidy architecture, and a soft setting for a pregnancy session if you are travelling while expecting.

The old town is a good evening out, and the weekend night market is excellent.
For photography, though, we are selective: we have not found many stops here that hold up as well as the island's stronger locations. The tower at the old bank building is the exception. The rest is usually too crowded to work in.
Clear Water and Boat Days
The water here is clear through the dry season, but if you want it sharper we take you to Ko He or Koh Racha Yai. Both are short boat rides and both read bright turquoise on camera.
Koh Yao Yai is quiet and undeveloped, and feels like this coast did a couple of decades ago. We use it when you want a slower pace and emptier frames.
We can also arrange a long-tail boat out to small uninhabited islands nearby, which gives us the best chance of working with completely empty frames. Boat hire and any entry fees are quoted separately, since those are third-party costs.
Other Areas We Cover

We work beyond this island too. In Koh Phi Phi our favourite stop is Long Beach. In Krabi we work the caves and limestone cliffs. For everywhere else, see our travel sessions page.
On cost: this island is the most expensive of the three for travel and logistics, and Krabi the most affordable. We will tell you which fits your dates and budget rather than pushing the nearest one.
Drone Included
We bring a drone to every booking by default, so aerial frames and short clips come with the session wherever the location and local rules allow. Best used on resort grounds, open shoreline and boat days.
What Our Clients Say
We took the 6-hour booking for our tenth anniversary with the boys, 4 and 7. I was sure they would melt down halfway through, but the pace stayed easy and breaks were built into the route. The garden shots are framed in our living room now.
We did our pre-wedding session here in March. The private beach in late afternoon gave us the soft light we asked for, then they moved us for the last hour of the day. The set is on our wedding site now and guests keep asking who shot it.
I wanted decent pictures of myself for once and not another mirror selfie. Four hours across two stops on the south end. They look like me rather than like a magazine, which is exactly what I asked for.
Before You Book
What does a Phuket photoshoot cost?
Rates start at the Noi Trip for around 4 hours and run up to the Yai Experience for around 8. Every booking is private, with outfit changes inside the session time and a two-year backup. A lower per-day rate applies from two days.
How many images do we get?
Up to 600 edited images on the 4-hour Noi Trip, up to 900 on the 6-hour Klang Journey, and up to 1,100 on the 8-hour Yai Experience, all delivered through a private download link.
When is the best time of year to shoot here?
End of November to end of April is the dry season and the easiest window to plan. May to August sees occasional showers that are often brief, and we build a fallback into the route. September to mid-November is the wettest stretch, and we may recommend the Gulf coast instead.
Is drone coverage included?
Yes. We bring a drone to every booking, so aerial frames and short clips are included wherever the location and local rules allow.
