Street Photography
A 1.2 km historic stretch parallel to the Chao Phraya River. Century-old shophouses, colonial-era facades, and the 2016 Bukruk street art festival give you a layered backdrop you can photograph for hours. ROA's upside-down elephant mural, vintage coffee shop interiors, and real market life all frame beautifully. One of the best streets in Bangkok for candid and portrait work combined.

Vintage Architecture
Hua Lamphong was built in 1916 in Italian Neo-Renaissance style and still carries a century of travel history in its high ceilings and wooden roofs. Natural light pours through the large windows in shafts that turn platforms into natural studios. Great for vintage, editorial, and proposal photography.

Urban / Headshots
An East Asian-inspired urban complex near Chulalongkorn University. Its latticed walls, clean alleys, and cultural motifs create the kind of neutral-but-striking background that works for corporate headshots, model portfolios, and traditional Chinese costume sessions alike. JWD Art Space and Jim Thompson Art Center are both inside.

Marble Temple
Built during the reign of King Rama V, the Marble Temple combines Italian white marble with Siamese elegance. Its symmetrical facade and ornate details give portraits a timeless, refined quality. Entry is 100 THB. Dress code applies: shoulders and knees must be covered. We shoot here in the afternoon for the best light on the white marble.

Golden Mount
Three hundred steps wind around an artificial hill to a golden chedi that holds a relic from India. At the top, a 360-degree panorama of Bangkok unfolds. Every level offers a different frame: staircases, temple gates, and city views. Best visited after 4 PM when the light turns warm and the crowds thin out. Entry is 100 THB.

Coffin Temple
Known as the "Coffin Temple," this working Buddhist site on Rama IV Road is far less visited than most. The main hall sits elevated above ground, reached by a grand staircase that photographs brilliantly. Royal seals, colorful murals showing Buddhist stories, and shrines to King Rama V and Ganesha give you unusual subjects. The incense smoke drifting through the courtyard creates natural atmosphere in photos.

Royal First-Class Temple
Thailand's highest-ranking royal temple, built between 1807 and 1847. Its 28 stone pagodas, 150+ Buddha images, and a 13th-century bronze Buddha from Sukhothai make it unique in Bangkok. The 21-metre golden teak Giant Swing at the entrance is an iconic photo spot. Costumes are available to rent nearby. Entry is 100 THB.

Hidden Gem Temple
Built by King Rama V in 1869, this ornate temple in the historic Rattanakosin district rarely draws crowds. Golden tops, Sino-European tile patterns, and a peaceful courtyard set it apart from larger sites. Nearby Saranrom Park adds greenery for a varied session. One of the best temples in Bangkok for relaxed, crowd-free photography.

Temple of Dawn
Architecturally striking, Wat Arun is covered in millions of porcelain pieces that catch the light beautifully. The honest reality for photography though: it is one of the most crowded spots in all of Bangkok. Good shooting positions fill up fast, tourists and other photographers regularly step into frames, and the density makes it hard to get clean shots. We recommend Wat Pho instead, which is directly across the river and far better suited to portrait sessions.

Royal Complex
The Grand Palace is fine for sightseeing but it is consistently the most crowded place in Bangkok. It also closes at 3:30 PM, which cuts out the best afternoon light entirely. For photography sessions inside, it is rarely practical. We suggest Ancient City as a far superior alternative for grand Thai architecture shoots. We do take photos outside the palace walls, using the ornate boundary facades and nearby streets, and the results speak for themselves in our portfolio.

Urban Forest
Bangkok's first flood-resilient green infrastructure, opened in 2017. The gently sloping terrain, wetlands, bamboo garden, and rooftop terrace with panoramic skyline views make this an unusually photogenic urban park. The historic Mahachulalongkorn Building nearby adds Beaux-Arts architecture to the mix. Excellent for graduation, model, and editorial shoots.

Royal Garden
Founded in 1866, this quiet royal garden sits right next to Wat Pho, making it a natural addition to any temple session in the area. Old trees filter the light into something soft and flattering all through the afternoon. Thai pavilions, a fountain, and a calm lake give you genuine variety within a few minutes' walk. The riverside sunset spot nearby is another easy addition, giving you golden-hour skyline shots to finish the session.

Historical Park · Sathorn
Created in 1899 by the Teochew Association of Thailand, this 42-acre site was renovated in 1996 and now operates as both a public park and active cemetery. Old tombstones, tree-lined jogging paths, and mottled afternoon light make it one of Bangkok's most atmospheric and unusual photography locations. Great for editorial, fitness, and moody portrait work.

Poolside / Villa
Bangkok has no shortage of rooftop infinity pools, private villa pools, and hotel pool terraces, all with the city skyline as backdrop. The location comes down to your accommodation or a suggestion from us. Afternoon and golden-hour sessions produce the most striking results. Ideal for travel portraits, couples, "old money" aesthetics, and lifestyle content.

Teak Garden · Museum
Six traditional Thai houses assembled by silk merchant Jim Thompson in the 1950s, set in a lush tropical garden. Photography is open in the gardens and exterior areas. Elevated teakwood structures, garden paths, wooden staircases, and warm afternoon light on aged wood do much of the visual work. The free Jim Thompson Art Center next door adds contemporary architecture. We shoot here from 3 PM onwards.

Chinese Mansion · Riverside
Built in 1850 as a trading hub, this restored Chao Phraya riverside mansion reopened in 2018. Traditional Chinese shrines, red lanterns, weathered wooden beams, colorful murals, and open courtyards fill its 42-rai plot. Far fewer visitors than most Bangkok landmarks. Open daily 8 AM–8 PM. Costume rentals, family, couples, and pregnancy sessions all work well here.

Riverside Mall · Skyline
The River Park promenade at ICONSIAM sits on the Chao Phraya with unobstructed views of the Bangkok skyline. Open terraces, contemporary architecture, and the elevated Starbucks on the 7th floor provide multiple vantage points for business portraits, dating app photos, and lifestyle content. Best combined with a nearby rooftop session at golden hour.
