Before your Grand Palace photoshoot
How much is the ticket?
Entry is 500 THB per person for foreign visitors (checked October 2026). The ticket is not part of our package, so you buy it at the gate or online.
What are the opening hours?
The palace is open daily from 8:30 to 15:30 (checked October 2026). It can close for royal ceremonies, so we check your date before the shoot. We plan the start so we finish before closing.
What is the dress code?
Shoulders and knees must be covered. Shorts, sleeveless tops and see-through clothes are not allowed. You can rent a sarong at the gate, but your own outfit looks better in photos. A Thai traditional costume works very well here.
Can we take photos everywhere?
Photos are fine in the courtyards and outside the buildings. Inside the chapel of the Emerald Buddha, photos are not allowed, so we shoot that part from outside.
How do we get there?
The easiest way is the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Tha Chang pier, then a short walk to the gate. MRT Sanam Chai is about 15 minutes on foot. Grab drops you at the main gate on Na Phra Lan Road.
