Please read first. Wat Ratchabophit does not allow commercial photoshoots on its grounds. We cannot run a full session here, and traditional Thai costumes are not allowed inside. We can stop by for a brief shoot of about 15 minutes and then continue at a second location to complete the session.

Wat Ratchabophit Photographer

A quick stop here, then on to the main location

We work as your Wat Ratchabophit photographer for a brief 15 minute stop, then move to a second temple or spot in Bangkok Old Town for the rest of the session.

The temple sits in Rattanakosin Island and has unusual gilt detail, mosaic tile and a quiet inner courtyard. It works well as a short, scenic break inside a longer afternoon, and entry is free.

Two things to know before we go in. The inner part with the curved wall is permanently closed to tourists, so we shoot the rest of the grounds. Ceremonies also happen here every afternoon, so we keep our voices low and move calmly. Even with those rules, there are plenty of great spots to shoot, the front facade, the cloister, the gilded doors and the side courtyards all photograph very well.

Because commercial photoshoots are not allowed here, we keep the stop low-key, no costume changes, no big setups, just clean portraits and details. Kissing photos are not allowed either, but close poses like holding hands or foreheads touching work well. Pair it with Wat Suthat, Loha Prasat or another nearby spot to round out the session.

Good to know

Before your Wat Ratchabophit photoshoot

What is the dress code?

Women cover shoulders, belly and knees. Men cannot wear tank tops, and covering the knees is more polite. Traditional Thai costumes are not allowed on the grounds, so we keep outfits plain for the stop here.

Why only a 15-minute stop?

Wat Ratchabophit does not allow commercial photoshoots. To respect that, we keep the stop short, just enough to capture clean portraits and details, then we continue at the second location to complete your session.

How many people can join the photoshoot?

Solo, couples, families and small groups all work for the brief stop here. For larger groups please mention the head count when you book so we can plan the route to the second location.

What other location should we pair it with?

Anywhere in Bangkok Old Town works well. Wat Suthat and Loha Prasat are close and pair nicely. See pricing for full details.

Ready to book your Wat Ratchabophit photoshoot?

Send us your dates and the second location you want to pair it with. You will work with the same Wat Ratchabophit photographer for the brief stop and the second location, only one private booking per afternoon.
