Koh Kood Photographer –
Private Island Sessions
Book us for a private session on Ko Kut: crystal-clear water, jungle greenery, and some of the best light in the Gulf of Thailand. Quieter settings, no shared client time slots.
Recent Client Sessions on Ko Kut
Most visitors to Thailand book in Phuket or Koh Samui. Very few have heard of Ko Kut, and that is exactly why we like working here. Far fewer crowds, no major party strip, and much less jostling for a clean frame. Just raw tropical settings and some of the cleanest water in the Gulf of Thailand.
We have worked on this island many times and we know where the light lands, where the shoreline tends to stay empty, and which resort grounds are worth booking a session around. Everything below is what we bring to your shoot.
Plan ahead and stay long
We recommend staying at least 5 days. That gives us room to schedule your session around the best light, and gives you a buffer if the ferry runs late.

Shoreline Locations We Book For Sessions
Not every stretch of coast on the island works for a session. These are the ones we schedule around, and why we choose them for client shoots.
Bang Bao
This is where we book most sessions. The water is clear and the trees grow right down to the waterline, which gives us natural framing that is hard to find elsewhere. Shade, water, and greenery in one place means we can build real variety without moving you around.
It holds up across different times of day and suits a wide range of styles. Our couples sessions here tend to be some of our most natural-looking work, because the setting does a lot of the work for us.
Haad Khlong Hin
We work the right-hand side. It tends to stay quieter and has more greenery, so we spend less of your session managing distractions in the background. This is our first alternative if Bang Bao is busy, or a second stop when you book a longer session.
Ao Jark Bay
More remote than the others, which works in your favor. Getting there costs us a little more travel time, but the payoff is a coastline that is usually quiet enough to shoot without waiting for people to clear the frame. We build it into full-day bookings.
Khlong Han and Secret Sunset
Both sit on the same coast and shoot much the same. Tall palms lean toward the water and the golden hour light here is exceptional. This is where we take you for palm silhouettes and sunset portraits. If your session only has room for one sunset stop, we book this coast.

When to Book Us
Water transparency on Ko Kut shifts with the season, and it changes what we can deliver in wide and shallow-water frames. We have had our clearest-water sessions here in December and January.
Conditions vary year to year, but if water clarity is a priority, those are the months we would choose first. We have also delivered strong sets outside them, so tell us your dates and we will plan the locations around what we are likely to get.
Resort Grounds We Shoot In
Some resorts on the island have grounds that give us a lot to work with. These are the ones we return to with clients.
A-Na-Lay Resort
The wooden deck here is long and well-maintained, and the overall feel suits a relaxed, warm look. We can move between the waterline, the rocks, and the greenery and get real variety inside one location. You do not necessarily need to stay here for us to include it; we confirm current access arrangements when planning your session.
Kiri Private Reserve
One of the island's most high-end properties, and the grounds reflect it. If you want a luxury setting with well-designed spaces, this is the one to ask us about. It shoots very differently from the natural coastline, and we lean into a more polished, editorial look. It pairs well with our portrait sessions when you want a refined, fashion-forward result.
Hideout Koh Kood
A quieter, more laid-back property with a good restaurant and easy access to the water. We have shot here and we recommend it. The relaxed atmosphere carries into the images, and the surroundings do not feel overdeveloped.
Coco Camping Koh Kood
Different from the rest. It is a budget property with a Muay Thai gym set in the middle of the jungle, and the whole place has a raw, textured quality we can use. We book it for yoga sessions or anything that wants a grounded, natural feel. Worth knowing: most rooms have no air conditioning, so keep that in mind if you plan to stay rather than just shoot there.
How We Plan Your Route
Booking us on Ko Kut gives you a range of settings within a short drive of each other. In one session we can move you between a jungle resort, a palm-lined sunset coast, and a quiet cove with clear water, and you get a gallery that does not look like it came from one spot.
We order the stops around the light rather than the map: shaded and interior locations while the sun is high, open coastline as it drops, and the sunset coast last. Where you are staying sets the starting point, so we keep transitions short and spend the time on shooting instead of driving.
We plan the same way for couples, solo portraits, and family sessions. The route is built around how much time you book and the kind of images you want.
Add a Second Session: Koh Mak and Koh Kham
If you have extra time, we recommend two days on Koh Mak. From there we can take a longtail boat to Koh Kham, our favorite island in Thailand. We work on Koh Mak too, so adding a second session to your trip is straightforward.
Koh Kham does not show up on most itineraries. That is the point, and the same is true of Ko Kut.
How we get you to Koh Kham
Getting There for Your Session
From Bangkok it is roughly 5 hours by car, or about 4 hours from Pattaya. If you would rather fly, there are flights from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Trat Airport that take under an hour, then a 50-minute drive to the pier, a 15 to 30-minute wait for the ferry, an hour on the water, and a 20 to 30-minute taxi to your hotel.
We factor this into your booking. Tell us your arrival day and we will avoid scheduling your session on a travel day, so you are not shooting straight off the ferry. The trip is long, but the effort is what keeps the island quiet on the day we shoot.
Booking a Koh Kood Photographer
Coordination matters more here than in a city. We ask you to confirm travel dates and accommodation before we lock anything in, so we can plan locations around your schedule and the light on the day.
The island rewards people who book early. It stays quiet and the settings are varied. If you are putting together a wider Thailand trip, our travel sessions page covers how we work across multiple destinations.

Questions We Get Before Booking
How fast do we deliver the edited images?
Our 6-hour and 8-hour packages are delivered in 24h. Our 4-hour package is delivered in 3 days, and you can add 24h delivery to it as a paid add-on. Every image is color graded by us and sent through a private online gallery link.
How many images do we deliver?
Our packages are capped: up to 600 edited images on the 4-hour session and up to 900 on the 6-hour session. Only the 8-hour session is uncapped, where we deliver every usable frame from the day.
Do we charge for RAW files?
No. RAW files are free and completely optional. Ask us and we will include them with your gallery; if you would rather keep it simple, we leave them out.
How far in advance should you book us?
As early as you can. We travel to the island for confirmed bookings, so dates fill in blocks. Once you have your ferry and hotel dates, write to us at team@lukfoto.com and we will hold the slot.
