Before your Saranrom Palace Park photoshoot
Everything you need to know before booking your session in the old town.
When is the best time of day?
Late afternoon. We start sessions after 3 PM and wrap by sunset. The big tamarind trees filter the low sun into something soft on faces, and the park empties out as visitors head off to the Grand Palace area.
Is the park good for families with children?
Yes. The park is small enough that children stay in sight, the paths are flat for strollers and grandparents, and there is space to move without losing the camera-friendly backdrops.
Can we combine this with a temple shoot?
Yes, the park sits in the old town next to several temples. Common pairings are Wat Pho and Wat Ratchabophit. See longer packages on the prices page.
What are the opening hours, and is there a fee?
The park is open daily from 5 AM to 8 PM, and entry is free (checked October 2026). Our late-afternoon sessions fit well inside these hours.
How do we get to the park?
Take the MRT Blue Line to Sanam Chai station and walk about 10 minutes north. You can also take the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Tha Tien pier, or a Grab to the gate on the Sanam Luang side, where we meet.
Is there a dress code?
No, it is a public park, so wear what suits your shoot (checked October 2026). If you add Wat Pho or another temple, cover your shoulders and knees, or bring a light layer to put on.
